What We Believe

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the inerrant and infallible Word of God, plenarily and verbally inspired, as well as providentially preserved for us in the King James Bible. We accept the King James Bible as our final authority in all matters of faith and practice and stand opposed to modern versions and paraphrases of the Holy Scriptures.

God

We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ was virgin born, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death for our sins, was bodily raised from the dead, and ascended into Heaven.

We believe His return is imminent and will be personal, visible, premillennial, and pre-tribulational.

Man and Sin

We believe man was created by the direct act of God and fell into sin by yielding to Satan’s temptation in direct disobedience to God’s Word.

We believe sin is universal and that the human race is totally depraved and unable to save itself.

Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His shed blood. Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Ordinances

We believe the ordinances of the local church are the Lord’s Supper and water baptism by immersion, and that they are to be administered and practiced by the local church.

Heaven, Hell, and the Resurrection

We believe the bodies of both the just and the unjust will be raised from the dead. The saved will enjoy a literal Heaven forever, while the lost will suffer eternally in a literal Hell.

Biblical Separation

We believe in biblical separation, both personally and ecclesiastically. As an Independent Baptist church, we do not fellowship with or participate in the Charismatic movement, Calvinism, or ecumenical evangelism.

The Local Church and the Great Commission

We believe the local Baptist church is Christ’s ordained institution for this age, commissioned to preach the Word of God, make disciples, and take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the whole world.
